box of tissues

You know, I think you never really realize just how sick you are until after you get better. I did not realize that I was sick for a whole week. I mean, yes, I realized I was sick, I just didn't realized just how sick I was: sniffles, runny nose, coughing, itchy throat... fun stuff. In two days I went through one whole box of tissues. That's not counting the other box I went through the five days prior to those two days. Thank goodness for Puffs Plus Lotion tissues! Otherwise, I'm pretty sure my nose would be brighter than Rudolf's right now.

Probably, I should have stayed far far far away from people while I was sick this week. But I didn't. I was at school every single day. The way I see it, I got sick from those kids anyway, so what's the difference? Thankfully for two of the four days I had no voice the kids were taking tests, so I had very little talking to do. Thankfully, I only almost died from a coughing fit once, and my collaborative teacher was in the room and took over the lesson for me. Thankfully, I am 96.2% cough and stuffy nose free.

Anyhow. I hope I didn't get any of you sick by accident. If I did, I apologize. I just have a problem staying home when I'm not laying on the floor next to the toilet because I am so sick and am able to function, i.e. walk and breathe 49% of the time as long as my mouth is wide open. Do you stay home if you feel a smidgin sick or do you go out and about your daily business unless you really cannot drag yourself out of bed or away from the barf bowl? Just curious.

I hope you have a happy weekend! I know I'm enjoying mine very, very much! I love the weekends, they are my favorite.

toodles.

Hannah! You should stay home next time you feel like that. Take it from me. My first year I got Strep Throat and felt like death. However, since I started taking antibiotics I still went to school. Stupid stupid stupid. Just stay home. I've learned that even a bad headache sometime justifies this...Teachers get burnt out easily anyway so we have to take care of ourselves. Promise me next time you will stay home? :)

AND yes I got an iphone. Ugh. I can't believe it.
