33 weeks

Just a few things from this week...

-Gooseberry is the size of a durian! Holy moly, he is getting big. I might also say that durian is one of the nastiest fruits I have ever eaten and is one that I do not crave. It's one fruit I have never seen in the States... probably because it smells and tastes of vomit. I kid you not. When the size chart says the baby is the size of a durian (much like with any of the other fruits) I am assuming it means the average size, because I have seen some massive durian and there is no way my baby is that big!

- We celebrated Christmas with family and friends, it was a wonderful Christmas. I just love Christmas. What I don't love about it is that when you wake up the morning after Christmas, it's all gone. It's like the Christmas magic disappears. Too suddenly. I suppose that makes me extra thankful for a wonderful Christmas and Christmas Eve.

- I am very much enjoying being on Christmas break. A little bit too much maybe as I don't feel like doing any work at all, and there are things that I would like to do before school starts next week. I am just finding it incredibly difficult to motivate myself to do house work, let alone school work. The lingering thought of returning to school haunts me every day...

- I feel huge. And things (my belly) is starting to get a wee bit uncomfortable, especially at night. But it's good because it means that Gooseberry is growing!

- We are having our first shower this weekend. I am getting very excited! This means the time for Gooseberry to appear is getting very near!

- I made a list of things to pack for the hospital and put a few of the things together. I'm not really sure what I'll need, but it helped me feel prepared by making a list and thinking about what I might need. I don't want to take a bunch of stuff, but I want to be sure I have what I need (and would like). Suggestions are welcome.

-  Gooseberry is very active these days and it is very visible!!

I hope you all have a good night celebrating the New Year! I'm pretty sure I will be curled up on my couch at home... probably watching the back of my eyelids :)

perhaps you just got a bad durian. The flavor is wonderful. It's nickname is "the king's fruit". Good to know that your little tyke is growing. really looking forward to meeting him.
